Slow living, a little clay, & a lot of heart.

Hi, I’m Jen — the hands behind Jen’s Pottery.

After 30 years in the corporate world, I felt ready for a change - something a bit slower, more creative, and more connected. What started as a simple interest in pottery, turned into a full lifestyle shift, and eventually, my little studio at home.

I work from the southern suburbs of Cape Town, where I spend my days on the wheel and hand-building pieces, enjoying both the rhythm and the unpredictability that comes with working in clay. Everything I make is shaped, glazed, and fired right here in my studio.

I also open up my space for small, relaxed classes and the occasional workshop. It’s a friendly, no-pressure environment where people can come play with clay, learn something new, and just take a break from busy life.

From time to time, you’ll find me at local markets, sharing my work and meeting the lovely community around me.

For me, pottery is about slowing down, getting your hands dirty, and finding joy in simplicity.
