Sandstone Vase

This is a tapered ceramic vase featuring a heavy, multi-layered drip glaze over a textured base. The top section is finished in a dark forest green and slate blue that runs down into a warm amber mid-section, eventually settling over a cream colored lower half. The base is detailed with a hand-carved, white-inlaid braided pattern that provides a geometric contrast to the fluid glaze above. The piece has a thick, glossy finish and a sturdy, artisanal construction.
